PAKISTAN - Nafas Food Processing and Marketing Company is looking to invest in a food processing and halal meat plant in Pakistan.
The plant is to be established in the Special Economic Zone near Islamabad and will export products to Malaysia.
The project has been given the backing of the Pakistan Board of Investment
Chairman of the BoI Dr Miftah Ismail said that Pakistan was committed to providing an investment-friendly environment for investors by offering lucrative fiscal incentives and creating conducive business conditions.
A delegation from the Malaysian company met with Dr Ismail to discuss the investment opportunities.
Nafas Food Processing is a state-owned company and is responsible for issuing certificates for food imports into Malaysia.
