GERMANY - Innovative products and processes in international food production were rewarded this week at the international food processing equipment exhibition Anuga FoodTec in Colgne Germany.
The 18 awards – nine gold and none silver came from companies in Denmark, Canada, the Netherlands, Austria and Germany.
The awards are presented by the German Agricultural Society DLG every three years in conjunction with the European Federation of Food Science and Technology, Anuga FoodTec and a number of German food journals.
The gold award winners are:
The German Institute of Food Technologies for a high moisture extrusion process
Fritsch GmbH for a multitwist twisting machine
Gea Food Solutions for the GEA MultiDrum
Insort GmbH for the Sherlock Food Analyser
Krones AG for a deaeratio of fruit juices process
Perfo Tec BV for a respiration control system
Sealpac GmbH for its Easy Lid system
Stadtwerke Murau for its transformation of thermal energies system
VEMAG Maschinenbau GmbH for its AML273 meatball loader
In the meat sector the Danish Meat Research Institute won a silver award for its 3D derinder of pork loin and K+G Wetter GmbH a silver for its mixer grinder.
The awards were judged by an international panel of judges.
