African Swine Fever in Meat Products Investigated

RUSSIA - Veterinary authorities in the Russian States’ Customs Union are to discuss the threat and identification of African swine fever in meat products.

The move follows the discovery of the African swine fever gene in products imported into Russia from Belarus.

The contamination was found in selected samples of smoke sausage in the Ryazan region that had been produced by the Miory meat plant in Vitebsk.
