BRAZIL - Brazilian meat and food processing giant BRF has named Pedro Faria as the new Global CEO, replacing Claudio Galeazzi, who will be leaving at the end of December.
Mr Faria is currently the CEO of International Operations of the company.
"Peter has a solid career and a history of successive conquests, and deep knowledge of the company, thanks to its experience of about three years as a board member and later a year as International CEO," said BRF Chairman Abilio Diniz.
Pedro Faria arrives to lead a long-term cycle with a focus on high performance, consolidating the management model based on quality, efficiency and meritocracy.
The new CEO will continue strengthening the process of globalization of BRF, focusing on new markets.
Among the projects under his responsibility is the completion of construction of a new plant in Abu Dhabi, the first BRF production unit designed and built by the company outside of Brazil, to be inaugurated in November.
