AUSTRALIA - The Australian arm of the Brazilian meat processing giant JBS has taken over Australian process Andrews Meats.
According to reports from Australia, JBS which has five feed lots and 10 processing plants in Australia producing beef and lamb, has acquired a majority shareholding in the Sydney based company.
JBS Australia has a daily processing capacity of more than 8000 cattle and 21,000 sheep and lambs.
Andrews Meat is a family company based in Sydney and specialising in portion cutting and further processing of meats for domestic and international restaurant and foodservice markets as well as ready-cooked meals, under the company owned brand of Creative Food Solutions.
