FRANCE - The French government has appointed a new food industry delegate charged with putting new life into the sector and coordinating public and private development
Corinne Orzechowski Reeve will oversee the way the feed sector in France is contracting and support the fragile food sectors in their efforts in terms of structuring and consolidation, starting with meat sectors including poultry industry.
Ms Orzechowski Reeve, who was the chief of staff in food minister Guillaume Garot’s department will facilitate funding for the sector as it modernises and will work closely with the main representatives of the industry including the workforce.
The new delegate will also help to foster innovation and meet the Green Challenge in the industry as well as supporting projects and enterprises in exports.
Ms Orzechowski Reeve will also be responsible for overseeing improvements in training and working conditions and supporting food chains in terms of employment.
