ECUADOR - A 10 year old ban on beef exports from the US to Ecuador has been lifted.
According to reports from the US Meat Export Federation, the country will now accept muscle cuts and offal from cattle bred and reared in the US.
However, cattle imported from Canada to the US will have to be in the country for 60 days before it is slaughtered.
The ban on US beef had been imposed because of food safety concerns after the discovery of a case of BSE.
