Agricultural Bank Backs Russian Poultry Plant

RUSSIA - A new poultry complex has been opened in Novotroitzk in the Orenburg region by the Orenburg governor Yuri Berg.

The plant that has been backed by the Russian agricultural bank.

Rosselkhozbank has a processing plant with a capacity of 4,723 tonnes of turkey meat a year.

The project cost 645 million rubles and Rosskhozbank provided three quarters for the cost with 484 million rubles.

The company focuses on the production of a wide range of products including turkey meat, sausages, pastrami and smoked products and production is expected to start this year.

The Eastern Poultry Plant is the first part of a complex that is expected to produce 20,000 tonnes a year.
