MEXICO – Mexico’s beef industry could receive a boost after hearing it’s veterinary inspections are on a par with Canadian veterinary standards.
Mexican trade routes to Canada could open up immediately after the Canadian health authority ruled that Mexican veterinary inspections are sufficient in four states.
The Canadian Health Inspection Agency reviewed procedures at a range of processing plants and decided that Michoacan, Sinaloa, Baja California and Nuevo Leon can start exporting.
