Israel Audits Argentine Slaughterhouses10 February 2014
ARGENTINA - An the Israeli health service delegation recently conducted an audit of the cold stores and packing plants in Rio Gallegos , Ramallo, Santiago del Estero and Villa Mercedes.
The delegation from the Veterinary Animal Health Service of Israel carried out the audit between 26 January and 5 February, checking the control systems for the slaughter of cattle and sheep in Argentina.
The delegation toured manufacturing plants that export to Israel and that are certified by the National Health Service and Food Quality ( SENASA), in the cities of Rio Gallegos , Ramallo, Santiago del Estero and Villa Mercedes, where it assessed the facilities, their operation and food safety plans, as well as the system of official controls put in place by SENASA .
At the final meeting, held at the headquarters of the Argentine health agency the Israeli delegation , headed by Michal Daniel Faingold and Nevata Ganz reported the results of the visit to the National Director of Food Safety and Food Quality , Gustavo Pérez Harguindeguy, and coordinator of International Relations, Valeria Ferré .
