US – Limiting antimicrobial usage in food animals is to be the subject of a producer oriented webinar, to be run by the University of Illinois.
The session FDA’s New Rules for Antibiotics in Food Animals will explore ‘important steps’ in ensuring judicious use of antibiotics in response to legislation introduced last year.
Livestock producers and industry professionals will have new rules explained, following the rule change by the US Food and Drug Administration on December 11 2013.
Professor Emeritus James Pettigrew and Professor Hans Stein will present the webinar which will explain the dos and don’ts in responding to the rule change.TheMeatSite News Desk
