Russian Inspection of Brazilian Beef Plants Completed10 December 2013
BRAZIL - Russian health authorities approved the Brazilian agricultural biosecurity controls as equivalent to those of Russia.
The Russian authority inspected establishments producing beef, pork and poultry.
According to the Coordinator-General Inspection of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA), Luiz Marcelo Araújo, the technicians did not find any weak points in the agricultural defense system.
"The balance of the mission was very positive. The Russians praised the work done by professionals in refrigerators, farms and laboratories, and compared our system to their defense," said Mr Araujo.
