New Show for the Meat Industry in 2015

12 November 2013

ITALY - Meat-Tech will be a new show for the meat industry, with its first edition scheduled for May 2015 in Milan.

Meat-Tech - Processing & Packaging for the Meat Industry, is the new highly specialised international event for the meat business community organised by Ipack-Ima Spa.

The first edition is scheduled from 19 to 23 May 2015 as part of a large-scale global event taking place at Fieramilano and already including IPACK-IMA, Fruitech Innovation, Intralogistica Italia, Converflex and Grafitalia in conjunction with the EXPO 2015.

With their closely interconnected business and technology areas, the six shows will assemble as many as 2,500 exhibitors and 100,000 expected visitors.

It will all be in synergy with the EXPO 2015 held on the same dates, whose theme, 'Feeding the Planet. Energy for Life', has strong ties with the exhibitions.

The new event is designed to showcase top-level technology and products for meat processing, preservation, packaging and distribution. It was made possible by a mutual termination of the agreement with Veronafiere, Ipack-Ima Spa’s partner in organizing Eurocarne until last year.

"By launching Meat-Tech, we believe we are capturing and catering to the needs and expectations of our meat industry stakeholders, who asked us to relocate their event in an international setting fully integrated into the supply chain," said Ipack-Ima Spa CEO, Guido Corbella. "We now have the opportunity to apply our strategy to this area as well, giving increased value to IPACK-IMA’s business communities with co-located, independent events."

Meat-Tech combines the long-standing experience of the organisers in this specific area and a deep knowledge of the meat market, where Ipack-Ima Spa earned the trust and esteem of operators and professionals.
