Artisan Nordic Cheeses to Hit New York

23 September 2013

US – Swedo-Danish dairy foods giant Arla is set to launch a brand of artisan cheese in New York this October.

The produce is to hit ‘high-end’ restaurants with the ‘Unika series’, a range of four Scandinavian style cheeses.

Since 2011, Gnalling, Krondill, Havgus and Høgelundgaard cheeses have been available in specialist shops in Sweden and Denmark but Asger Jorgensen, Managing director of Arla Foods USA expects popularity to spread fast.

“We believe these cheeses will win over the hearts of many fine-dining guests here as they have already done in Scandinavia,” said Mr Jorgensen.

Hand selected Manhattan and Brooklyn eateries will receive the products on October the 14th .
