USDA Foreign Agricultural Service

INDONESIA - Indonesia’s ministries of agriculture and trade released new regulations on the import of meat and meat products in late August/early September, 2013.

Changes include the creation of a reference price system, which calls for meat imports when local retail prices rise above a set level.

Post continues to work with the Government of Indonesia and Indonesian importers to clarify certain provisions of these regulations.
