Kansas Packer Recalls Beef Tongue over E.Coli

US - A Kansas beef packer is recalling 690 pounds of beef tongue because it might be contaminated with E.coli.

National Beef Packing Co. from Dodge City, has initiated a voluntary recall for Beef Tongue Root Filet after a sample tested positive for E. coli O157:H7

The company said the recall is voluntary, and there have been no reported illnesses related to the recall.

The affected 690 pounds of Beef Tongue Root Filet was produced on 19 and shipped to a distributor in Amarillo, Texas and a further processor in Lubbock, Texas in approximately 30 lb. boxes.
