Alliance Exports to Jamie Oliver Restaurant in Russia

03 September 2013

RUSSIA - Lamb from New Zealand meat exporter Alliance Group is to appear on the menu of a Russian restaurant established by international chef Jamie Oliver.

Regular shipments of racks, hind shanks and legs from the cooperative’s export brand Pure South to the restaurant in Saint Petersburg will begin later this year.

Alliance Group has been supplying a number of food service companies and restaurants in the Russian market for the past 12 years. The lamb will be sourced from Alliance Group suppliers across the country.

Murray Brown, general manager of marketing at Alliance Group, said the deal underlined Pure South’s growing status as a leading red meat export brand.

“Pure South is a well-established export brand and this agreement will help promote New Zealand lamb to a fledgling market.”
