RUSSIA - As part of measures aimed at preventing the introduction and spread of infectious animal diseases, including African swine fever specialists from Rosselkhoznadzor for Krasnoyarsk region together with the employees UGIBDD of the Krasnoyarsk Territory conducted 18 raids on properties last month.
The inspectors were also checking for imported products that did not meet the veterinary requirements.
During August, more than 180 vehicles were inspected together with 134 tonnes of animal products and animal feed.
A total of 15 tons of animal products that had been transported in violation of the animal health requirements and the requirements of technical regulations were seized.
A total of 20 tons of cargo was returned to the person who sent it.
Legal action is being taken against those people who breached the controls, a Rosselkhoznador spokesman said.
