Brazilian Broiler Production to Bounce Back22 August 2013
BRAZIL - The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service predicts that broiler production in Brazil will recover by three per cent in 2014.
This increase is expected to be driven by higher exports stimulated by the depreciation of the Brazilian currency and lower feed costs thanks to record soybean and corn crops estimated for 2013/14 crop year.
USDA sources have also identified a high level of consumer debt in Brazil as a constraint to an increase in domestic demand.
The outlook for turkey production and exports is for moderate growth next year.
