Minister Visits MeatUp01 July 2013
UK - The Minister of State for Agriculture and Food David Heath MP will be visiting the NEC based MEATUP show tomorrow, Tuesday.
Show organiser Emma Cash said: “We are delighted that the Minister has found time in his busy schedule to visit this year’s MEATUP.
"This is a real positive for the show and it will give exhibitors the chance to meet the Minister and showcase many of the innovations and ground breaking business solutions to be found at this year’s exhibition.
"It also confirms the importance of MEATUP as a leading trade event for the UK meat sector.
“2013 has presented many challenges to the UK industry and a forum of this type becomes increasingly important where people can communicate and work together for the good of the industry”.
The Minister will be touring the show and use the opportunity to meet a range of participants as well as taking in the show competition arena to review the craft competitions being staged this year. In particular, the Premier Young Butcher Competition on the first morning of MEATUP will feature a range of top quality displays from leading young professionals who will be able to show the Minister the skills needed to maximise modern butchery techniques.
