JBS Launches Annual Sustainability Report28 May 2013
BRAZIL - Brazilian meat processor JBS has launched its sustainability report giving integrated with economic, social and environmental information on the company.
The publication also reflects the membership of the JBS Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), a platform created in 1997 by the United Nations and recognised worldwide for providing greater organisational transparency to the information of the companies, as well as its sustainability practices.
Developed jointly by the areas of Corporate Communications, Investor Relations and Sustainability of JBS, the Annual Report this year meets the criteria established by the Brazilian Association of Companies (Abrasca).
The document includes the performance achieved by JBS throughout 2012 and consolidates the investments made ??by the company in the environmental area in Brazil.
The new report also contains initiatives and strategies adopted to mitigate emissions of greenhouse gases, data consumption of fuel, water and energy, among others.
