Power of Meat at ICoMST

TURKEY - The Power of Meat in 21st Century is the theme of the 59th International Congress of Meat Science and Technology - ICoMST - to be from 18 to 23 August, in Izmir Turkey.

The programme covers many aspects of this topic and the focus will be on the latest developments in muscle and meat science including novel meat sources, meat sustainability, animal welfare and slaughter, muscle biology and biochemistry, microbiology and chemical hazards, advanced preservation
techniques, meat based functional foods.

A new approach of this year is to address engineering applications in meat industry and specific hot topics important to the industry and meat scientist

The congress will end with a panel session on congress theme.

The congress will be held at the Swiss Hotel Grand Efes in the heart of Izmir Turkey.
