NOAH Film Makes Industry Call to Reach Out to Consumers16 April 2013
UK - In a film released last week, high profile delegates to this year’s Food Chain Conference, organised by the National Office of Animal Health (NOAH), have called on the industry to engage with consumers about the important role animal medicines play in food production and animal welfare.
In a series of short interviews, delegates talk about the need to reach out to consumers, and for the
food chain industry to work closely together in their communications.
Among the delegates interviewed are David Evans, Head of Agriculture at Morrisons, Adam Quinney,
Vice President of the NFU, Mike Stones, Group Editor of the Food Manufacture Group, Catherine Paice, Editor of Over The Counter and Business Consultant Rick Manlove.
NOAH’s fourth Food Chain Conference - Britain’s Food Industry: working together to dispel the myths of livestock production - was held at the Royal Society in London last month.
Delegates were told that a recent consumer survey conducted by the IGD had found misconceptions
about animal medicines in the food chain were still widespread.
