Danish Crown Sells Slaughterhouse Site05 April 2013
DENMARK - The site of Danish Crown long standing pig and cattle slaughterhouse in Holsterbro has been sold.
The 83,000 square metre site has been bought by the Holsterbro Municipality, with whom Danish Crown has been in discussions since the decision was taken to close the slaughter plant.
"We have been agreed not to rush the process, as it is still an open question when the last cattle slaughtered in Holstebro. Nevertheless, there has been progress and now both parties have signed the necessary papers," said Danish Crown's finance chief Ejner Søby.
