Ugandan Meat-Processing Firm Looks to Rwanda24 December 2012
RWANADA - A Ugandan meat processing firm is looking to set up business in neighbouring Rwanda.
Fresh Cuts Uganda has already sent a consignment of products to Rwanda to test the market, according to a report on All Africa.
And now the company is hoping to set up a processing and butchery facility in the country according to the report.
Earlier this year Fresh Cuts Uganda teamed up with Mauritius company Ireland Blythe Limited with the aim of becoming a significant meat business in the region.
The All Africa report says that FResh Cuts will be supplying vacuum packed, frozen and boxed meat products and its major outlet in Rwanda is the supermarket chain Nakumatt.
The company also supplies minced meat, and sausages, among other products.
